The current process of increasing the price of petrol and diesel started on May 4. Petrol was costlier by Rs 8.40 and diesel by Rs 8.45 in May and June in Delhi. In July, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 1.15 and that of diesel by 18 paise per liter.
Petrol in Mumbai became costlier by 34 paise to Rs 105.92 per liter. Diesel remained unchanged at Rs 96.91 per litre. Petrol in Chennai became costlier by 31 paise and sold at Rs 100.75 per liter. Diesel remained at Rs 93.91 per liter without any change.
